Home Office Application
A unique facility of the Forte PBX system is the so-called "home office application".
This makes it possible to copy an extension to another remote location, for instance an employee’s home. At the remote location a special ISDN telephone (named HomePhone) is used. All relevant facilities available in the company will operate in exactly the same way at the remote location. From both locations it is possible to change the destination at which an incoming call should ring. This facility provides an easy and cost-saving method to establish home worker units with complete telephone integration.
All facilities, which are normally used at an extension, can be used at the remote location, (call diversion, call transfer, call back etc.) as well. The home office application can be established on all extension numbers, thus generating a fully virtual company.
Handling of Incoming Calls
Incoming calls are redirected via Forte to the remote location in case it is activated. Internal calls are indicated according to internal call settings and trunk calls according
to trunk call settings. Call transfers are made in the same way as if the call was answered at the company.
Handling of Outgoing Calls
Outgoing calls are made in exactly the same way as if they were made within the company.
Mobile Extension
The Home Office application can alternatively be used together with most mobile phones. This is comprehensive e.g. for a sales or service engineer.
Calls via the company can (from most GSMs) be transferred back to a collegue or to another mobile extension. A most essential facility is the possibility to ring on a group
of service engineers. The equipment primarily handles activated mobile phones in the group according to the number of trunk lines (minus 1 for the incoming call). Mobiles
on service (in the service group) can be controlled from the feature keys on a
FeaturePhone.
