General Data

The feature phone offers the following facilities:

• Handset with coiled cord and a relief device in the handset and the telephone itself.
• Concealed integrated connector for the coiled cord in the handset.
• Hands-free function with speech control.
• Loudspeaker to the left on the telephone, underneath the handset.
• Connection for headset with auto-detector.
• Table or wall mounting.
• Storage facility for surplus connecting cord.
• 12 numerical keys for digit choice (0-9 * #).
• 9 pre-programmed feature keys plus one multi-function key.
• 4 x 38 characters alphanumeric display with extended character set.
• 4 languages supported.
• 32 programmable feature keys. These are not available in the FPS-0 version.
• 32 red/green light-emitting diodes for function key activity.
• Function keys operate as an alphanumeric keyboard during a name search in the speed dial and extension number database.

Display

The four lines in the display are to provide the following information used during conversation in idle state.

• the extension number including name, date and time.
• general call information during conversation.
• supplementary information as well as potential active functions, such as call forwarding.
• relevant functions which can be selected by the multi-function key.

Pre-programmed Feature keys

On all types of feature phones 9 pre-programmed feature keys are offered plus one multi-function key.
They provide the following facilities:

• "Vol" key for adjusting the volume during conversation
• "Mute" key for switching off/on the microphone during conversation
• "New" key for providing a new dialtone
• "R" key for call transfer initiating
• "SPK" key indicated with a loudspeaker symbol for off hook in hands-free mode
• "Hold" key for placing a conversation on hold
• "Esc" key for leaving the menu
• "Del" key for deleting the information entered
• "Menu" key for access to the set-up menu of the telephone
• "MF" key for navigating in the display

Menu Control of the FeaturePhone

Features available during a call are shown in the fourth line of the display.
They can be selected and activated using the MF key. In this way it is possible to navigate in the display between the various options.
In many cases pull-down menus are used for selection of features.

Programmable Function Keys

The individual users have the option of programming their own function keys on the FPC-32.

The individual function keys can be programmed for the following functions:

• Function key for activating or deactivating various facilities
• Key for selecting speed dial numbers
• Multi-representation keys for extension numbers (DSS) with possibility of different types of ringing
• Personal speed dial key (any number or feature access code)
• Line keys
• Parking space keys

The set-up is made via the menu control in the display.

The different types of ringing programmed on DSS buttons can be:

• No ringing
• Normal ringing
• Soft ringing
• Delayed soft ringing
• Delayed ringing
• Loud ringing
