Dear Reader

We welcome you to The Voxtream Newsletter No. 16. We hope you will find time to read the articles and cases and hopefully you will be inspired to find new business possibilities.

This time our Newsletter contains a case from our partner Telista in Turkey. They have asked us to solve an exciting application concerning the optimizing of routing through GSM Gateways. In Tokyo we are about to implement a solution with our Japanese partner. Here the Parlay i60 has been modified making it possible to use BRI interfaces against PSTN.

We hope you will enjoy the reading.

SIM Card Selector

Yet another customer adjusted solution from Voxtream.

In close cooperation with our Turkish partner we have entered into an agreement with the company Turkcell concerning delivery of a certain number of Parlay i60 which are going to operate as SIM  card Selectors.

The purpose of using a SIM card Selector is that the customer wants to achieve complete utilization of the free voice minutes left on his SIM Cards and therefore he needs some kind of device which can control the voice time left on all his SIM cards and make it possible to lock calls from the SIM cards where no free voice minutes are left.

As selector we use a Parlay i60 with an ISDN30 (PRI) interface and up to 12 ISDN2 (BRI) interfaces as the connecting point for the customer’s GSM gateway. With special software in the Parlay box it is possible to split the traffic on up to 24 SIM cards and in this way control the minute consumption on each single SIM card.

Mobile Applet
start page

A new Mobile Applet with "Call Through" feature

This new mobile applet has been developed for mobile phones with Symbian S60 version 3 Software or earlier versions.

If you use the Call back feature from Voxtream you will be able to save a lot of money on mobile conversations made from abroad. In order to make it even easier for our customers we have developed the Mobile Applet, which is an intelligent and user-friendly piece of software. The Mobile Applet automatically makes use of the Call back feature, if you make your call from abroad. In this way you can make fully use of the cost saving application as the user makes his call from his mobile phone as usual.

Find more information about the Voxtream software for the mobile applet and find a list of compatible mobile telephones on:

Visit from Japan

In the early summer our Japanese distributor and partner visited Denmark. They wanted to learn more about the Voxtream products and to discuss new development projects for NTT who is their customer in Japan. During their stay Mr. Iwata from Soft & Hard and Mr. Hosokawa from Finecom Co. Ltd. had plenty of opportunity to meet the Voxtream employees and to experience how a Danish company operates.

Japanese culture and management are in many respects forming a sharp contrast to the Western European culture and especially within business culture long business relations make good results. The Japanese telecommunication market is very difficult to understand and therefore these long and close connections mean a lot more than advanced technology and quick sales activities.

VoIP conference in Portugal

During spring 2007 Voxtream chose the company EBC as our distribution partner in Portugal. The partnership started with a number of different activities within the Portugesian market, where EBC has promoted a concentrated marketing of the Parlay VoXip. During the month of May EBC made a VoIP conference for their Portuguese speaking customers and this seemed to be a very popular conference with 164 participants. Many of the EBC customers wanted to get further information about the Parlay VoXip and participated in a VoXip course focusing on technology and sale. These courses were held during the month of July.

Even though the Portugesian market is a completely new market for Voxtream we are sure that the great interest from Portugal confirms that there is a huge market potential within this market.
